Family 1, Bailiffs 0

Miss White called three times over the next three months.
She got no answer each time, and although she knew perfectly well that there were people inside, they gave no response at all.

Three months after that, the bailiffs returned the account to the council with a Nulla Bona certificate, and informed Kevin in writing.

Kevin immediately wrote to the Council with an income and expenditure statement, an offer of payment, and the promise that once he returned to full-time employment he would clear the arrears quickly.

The Wyse family have since made sacrifices to reduce their cost of living, so they can make sure that all their bills get paid, including the Council Tax instalments for the current year.

The council decided to accept his payment offer, although they didn’t contact him about it.

Kevin still pays £50 a month directly to the council on top of his normal monthly Council Tax instalments.

At the time of writing the council WILL get all of it’s outstanding arrears within the following 12 months.
