Sisters beat the bailiff
David paid the first month, and the second
Work had been very slow, and by the second week in September David and Angela realised that they might not be able to pay all of the fourth instalment.
They rang the bailiffs office and asked if they could change their agreement, the girl who answered refused to discuss it and said they would have to speak to the bailiff.
Angela didn’t mind that, she felt sure Len would agree to change the agreement, it would only add an extra month.
A week went by and no sign of Len, so Angela rang on the 22nd, and was told the same thing.
The days ticked by, and on Friday 26th Angela rang again, to be told the same thing, again.
Nobody turned up, and Monday the 28th came and went without Len showing his face.
Tuesday morning at 7am, there was a loud banging on the door.
David hadn’t worked for days, and they had slept in, so when Angela looked out of the bedroom window, she saw a small blonde woman banging on her front door, shouting, “BAILIFFS, OPEN THE DOOR! NOW!”.
This came as a shock. Where was that nice man Len? Who the hell was this?
Angela drew herself together and ran down the stairs, opening the door, she shouted at the pair, “who do you think you are calling at this time of the morning, ran tanning on my door like that, there is no need to shout!”.
